Pong’s New Case Reduces Claims to Reduce Radiation Exposure from the Samsung Galaxy S III, Improves Signal & Conserve Battery Life

Pong Research Corporation have announced the availability of its new Samsung Galaxy S III case that claims to reduces radiation exposure from the Samsung Galaxy S III, whilst improving signal & helping to conserve battery life.

“The Pong Samsung Galaxy S III case features our patented technology that makes it the only case available today that both significantly reduces consumers’ exposure to mobile phone radiation and enhances the overall user experience,” said Todd DeYoung, CEO, of Pong Research. “Other cases can increase users’ radiation exposure by interfering with the Samsung Galaxy SIII’s cellular signal, which forces the device to use more power and consume battery life to overcome that interference. The Pong case protects users and eliminates the frustrations associated with poor reception.”

The technical stuff

Smart phone antennas emit microwave energy, a form of electromagnetic radiation (EMR), when transmitting to cell towers. Consumers’ heads and bodies ‘can’ absorb the majority of this radiation. All of Pong’s products are rigorously in its two labs for SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) and TRP (Total Radiated Power) on the various frequencies of which mobile phones operate worldwide. Two independent labs, CETECOM and RF Exposure Labs, both accredited as Telecommunications Certified Bodies with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and are able to issue FCC equipment with authorisation approval, verifying Pong’s internal testing results. CETECOM and RF Exposure Labs regularly perform SAR measurements according to U.S., Canadian, European, and Australian standards for mobile devices.

While there is no consensus yet on the risk from exposure to the EMR emitted by smartphones, in 2011 the World Health Organization, based on findings by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, classified mobile phone radiation as “possibly carcinogenic” to humans.

“The World Health Organization recommends that consumers adopt what it calls the ‘precautionary principle,’ and we have developed our line of mobile device cases to help consumers do just that.” added DeYoung.

The slim and elegant design of the Pong case complements the Samsung Galaxy S III’s stylish curves. The Pong case features a NCVM (Non-Conducting Vapor Metallization) high-tech coating that creates a sleek, metal look.
